Examples of the modules include Criminal Law, Family Law, and School Law. The chapters within a module address a specific area of law such as Identity Theft, Child Neglect, and Bullying. Each chapter includes the following components: a short vignette from the Harry Potter stories, an explanation of the relevant Muggle law, and a explanation of how the law of our world would be applied to the wizarding situation.

KAREN MORRIS is a Professor of Law at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York, and has been an elected judge for 18 years. She authors several college-level textbooks on legal topics. To her, law as a disicpline is contemporary and enlightening, and thus fun to explore and teach. BRADLEY S. CARROLL is an attorney currently practicing in Arizona. He was introduced to the world of Harry Potter by his wife. He has two sons who also share his enthusiasm for the Harry Potter books and movies
