I run a 2L 2008 BMW turbodiesel which mainly only does 5-10 minute trips now due to changed circumstances. Not good as if doesn't get to do adequate burnouts of the exhaust particulate filter causing excess exhaust back pressure, rough idling, loss of power, and high fuel consumption. It also helps to do a faster burnout when the vehicle does get onto the highway to maintain 2000 RPM for an extended period of 20 - 30 minutes.
