This Mandolin is not just a run of the mill instrument. It has been hand bult by artisan luthier in Minas Gerais province of Brazil. This mandolin is very well engineered and crafted, it accumulates the experience of generations of Brazilian instrument makers and modern research. The mandolin features unique construction of double sides with the sound ports. Yes, that's right, there are sides inside the sides with the air circulating freely inside them giving the instrument a unique, strong and bright sound rarely heard in mandolins under $1000 mark. The mandolin features solid spruce top, solid maple body, sides and neck, dark rosewood flat fretboard, bone nut, rosewood bridge with bone insert, and quality machine heads. It plays beautifully, with bright and clear trebles and strong bass. That is being brand new. Spruce top takes two to three month of playing to open up. I can imagine what a killer of an instrument it is going to be then. What more can mandolin player wish for? The mandolin's scale lenght is 360 mm. The nut width is 34 mm. Mandolin is posted being wrapped in lots of bubble wrap. Registered and insured postage is $29.00 Australia-wide. Quality leatherette gig bag is extra $29.00 (Optional). N.B. The stand is not included. |
