I love gospel music and since I started buying The Gaither DVD's, I feel that it has enriched my life. There's not a day goes by that I don't either listen to their CD's or watch the DVD's. Even when no one wants to listen to you, you can look to the Lord and He will be there for you. The Gaither Vocal Band along with all of their friends will give you such a warm feeling inside and it's just like you are there with them, especially many of the older gospel singers. I truly miss Jake Hess, George Younce, Vestal and Howard Goodman, J.D. Sumner, Glen Payne, and numerous others that are too many to mention.
I have this Gatiher program on VHS at the moment. Oh, boy, this music is ANOINTED with the Holy Spirit! IT goes way down deep inside your soul with True Joy of the Lord! There isn't any better music that you can play while you work or to wake you up! I agree with the other reviewer in that, this makes a great time with the presence of the Lord (Bible Study!). My favorite song is Sue Dodge's lively rendition of "I went down to an Ol' Camp Meetin' and I was saved by Amazing Grace!" (That's what I call it!) There isn't a Gaither Homecoming program one will not enjoy. They are real people singing about real faith in the Lord.
I bought this for my grandfather. Its a very good movie. This is by far my favorite Gaither DVD. A nice tribute to Dottie Rambo with a couple of her songs featured. She even sings on one of them. A little trivia about Vestal Goodman's voice was interesting. A nice mix of songs and arrangements. "Don't Get Down on Jesus" performed by J.D. Sumner and The Stamps Quartet just plain great! Another homerun Bill and Gloria!
