  Alpha One Generation II
 
  • Complete sacrificial anode kit to replace all factory installed anodes found on the transom and drive unit
  • Includes mounting hardware
  • Magnesium anodes - for use in fresh water only
  • Mercury part numbers: 888755A1, 888755Q01 and 888755Q03
  • Aluminum anodes are what Mercury installs from the factory, but magnesium anodes are more effective in fresh water
  • Never paint anodes
  • Anodes should be checked and cleaned frequently - a dirty anode is not protecting your outdrive
  • Anodes should be replaced once they have dissolved 25-50%
  • Installation of a Mercathode system can prolong the life of your anodes
  • Boats connected to shore power should also have a galvanic isolator
