Murphy A192T valve radio
Restored to its former glorry a few years ago by my self but am haveing to let go now as its taking up to much room, The radio was worth restoreing as its a rare model as most other murphy a192 radios have short wave this model has trawler band instead (trawler band was used by fishermen so they could hear either the coastgard or a weather report so they did not get caught in rough weather out at sea) I used a modern style vintage look cable to retrain a classic look like the old type cable before it and standard UK British plug with sleeve pins (British Standard BS 1363) the radio works fine with old fashioned humming noise from the speaker. it sounds good when you tune in to radio 4 on medium wave the sound of the archers makes you feel like your back in the 1950s You would not be disappointed, Not another about in this condition
Connections on the back are for an arial and earth next to that a loud speaker connection (used for larger rooms or a hall)
Everything inside the radio are all original ect. checked and tested.
The bakerlite caseing has been polished to a near perfect shine and has no deep scraches anywear on the case.
Any questons you have on this radio just drop me a message I will be glad to help anyone ☺
