  • Ein Graufilter reduziert die Lichtmenge, die durch die Linse hindurchtritt, ohne dass es zu einem Verlust der Farbqualität kommt. Somit verlängert sich automatisch die Belichtungszeit und Sie können Objekte bei Offenblende besser freistellen.
  • Durch die Verlängerung der Belichtungszeit entstehen gewünschte Langzeitbelichtungseffekte:
    So bekommt fließendes Wasser z.B. einen schönen Fließeffekt.
  • Dieser Filter kann mit dem entsprechnden Filterhalter für Cokin P an Objektiven mit unterschiedlichen Filtergewinden angebracht werden und ist somit für fast alle gängigen Objektive verwendbar. Der passende Adapter verbindet das Objektiv mit dem Filterhalter, sodass die Filterscheibe im Filterhalter montiert werden kann. Die Filter können problemlos gewechselt, untereinander und miteinander kombiniert (3 Steckplätze) oder nur zum Teil vor das Objektiv montiert werden (z.B. bei Himmelaufnahmen).
  • Mit diesem Filtersystem muss wie bei der Cokin P-Serie also nicht für jede Kamera oder jedes Objektiv ein neuer Satz Filter verwendet werden, da man den Filtersatz durch die verschiedenen Adapter an unterschiedlichen Objektiven anbringen kann. Dieses Filtersystem ist also besonders für den kreativen Einsatz von professionellen Cokin P Filtern geeignet und verhilft zu satten, effektvollen Aufnahmen.
  • Der Filter wird bei einer Landschaftsfotografie empfohlen.
