This ugly duckling does become a Swan. With it's easy setup and install I have only two tips. The Sata headers are very flimsy and are not mounted firmly to the board with a lot of swapping of cables or vibration they could easily brake so for those of you competent with a hot glue gun go around and in between each one, wala problem solvered! The heat sinks on the board NEED a little help, mount a fan either to them or aimed at them they can run a little hot otherwise and heat is your enemy! I put a temp probe on each the sinks connected to a fan controller and fans for each. With a budget system (FX-6300) UN-CLOCKED win7 I get a 7.4 mark. I have a large cpu air cooler and a couple of temp controlled case fans making for quiet 6 core power house staying around or below 50C at 100% all cores and normally siting around or below 33C for the mundane tasks all in my Queensland temp environment. The two I built up as raid (1) 3Tb Storage array with a 128gb SSHD OS and 16gb low profile ram. The two units are up now with NO ISSUES for some months (24/7) So I felt confident in sharing this. For those using HDDs above 2tb there is another trick you need to know about MBR. Don't read too much bull from the net just setup as MBR and in the OS convert the drive to GPT in your OS to reveal the extra drive space, this will automatically incorporate the MBR in the GPT and allow for windows backup to work. If you set up a system as GPT on a HDD above 2tb don't expect windows backup to work. You have been told. Enjoy.Read full review
