REMOTE GPS ANTENNA (amplified) fitted with GOLD Straight plug
This is an AMPLIFIED Remote GPS Antenna with the small GOLD MCX connector (MMCX). This not a re-radiating antenna which is required for any GPS without an external antenna socket (e.g eTrex) - and is much more expensive.

The MMCX plug is approx 2.5 mm dia.
Power supply
The power supply for these antennas is provided in-line (no external power feed is required). Power is passed from the GPS through the antenna socket and at an operating voltage range of 2.5 vdc to 5vdc. This antenna has a Gain of 28db with low noise and current drain (12mA +/- 1mA @ +3.0 to 5.0V DC). It is extremely reliable, robust and popular GPS antenna. The antenna features a new toughened polycarbonate housing, and it is 100% waterproof.
Applications
Useful for marine applications, Athermic windshields and in built up areas. It can be mounted on metal surfaces using its built-in magnetic base
This antenna will NOT fit Garmin GPS units (or other) with the gold MCX connector, such as eMap and IQUE. It will be too small.This antenna will NOT fit Garmin GPS units with the BNC connector, such as GPS II, III Plus, V and StreetPilots (mapping family).
