The version that has all the bugs fixed is excellent, this is the third one I have purchased from the same seller and I think I will keep this one as I use other smart phones including an I-Phone and I always take the n95 out every now and then just for something different as smart phones with the touch screens only and no physical keys can get a little boring and plus I like the old school type look of it and the ability to connect it to your t/v for video play back is a cool feature and you can pretty much download just about everything from Google android store into it and the slide up full qwerty key board is great as is the 32gb memory expansion slot and the brand NOKIA..!!
It was time to upgrade to Windows 7 but how could we replace our trusted Palm Calendar and Contacts managment suite? We needed phones that also supported business standard office productivity tools. In an article recently published in Australia's "PC & Tech Autority" magazine, it was suggested that the Nokia N97 mini was a great product and a recommended buy. Originally costing around $900 and still being supplied new by one network, prompted me to look further. Although it uses the older Symbian OS it syncronizes with Microsoft Outlook which is what we were looking for. The fold out QWERTY keyboard, the reputation and familiarity with Nokia products along with a full-sized touch screen and apps from both Nokia and 3rd party vendors added to the attraction. For us it tick all the boxes. I saw 2 unlock phones on eBay and bought them both, one for me and one for my wife. Like any new technology it took a few days to learn our way around them and get the setting correct for our chosen provider. Fortunately we are both confident users of electronic devices as not even the retail service staff knew how to install the correct packet data settings. With that resolved all the features were working. Searching the internet we found how to transfer the Contact details from both Outlook Express and Palm to the Nokia Suite but the Calendar entries had to be made by hand. It is hard for me to compare the phone with the lastest offerings as I only get to "play" with phones owned by others. Purchasing a new phone from a telco, it would have been fully set up for that network and therefore a more attractive proposition for the faint-hearted but only the more expensive of the current offerings have the features we desired. Now we could not be happier, believing that we own phones with most of the features of expensive smart phones at a fraction of the cost.Read full review
My daughter loves it. It is easy to use and she just loves the features on the phone. The price was very good, we are very happy with it. Taking photo's is so easy and we have had no problems with it. Excellent Phone.

I had personally owned a Nokia N97 Mini prior to this purchase. that was my reason for wanting another one. I love having the full Touch Screen facility, and being able to slide the screen up to use a full qwerty keyboard. There are a multitude of Apps available and Nokia Ovi Store has free Apps, Games, wallpapers etc, all you need is to connect to the internet on your phone. In comparison to other "slider" phones, I have found the Nokia N97 Mini to be the best for Battery Usage, Talk Time, Memory, etc. I have had little else but a good experience with these phones, although if you drop them too many times then the side lock switch and the answer button tend to stop working. This phone does take some getting used to because it's pretty Technological, but once you get used to the Shortcuts, and where all the different settings are located it's a very easy phone to use :)Read full review
