Many good times playing this game on xbox live. The highly customizable maps in the map editor let you create some fun scenarios with your friends. The maps are huge so there is a ton of endless possibilities. My most memorable gameplay was from a game mode called border patrol. One of the long destructible bridges was used to stop civilian players from crossing. If they made it they would make a mad dash to the airport at the end of the map to get the helicopter and rain destruction upon the border agents and the stockpile of guns they kept. My favorite was finding a gun in the trunk of a civilian car and then shooting them on the spot. Good times screaming "we got a runner" into the microphone.

Operation Flashpoint is pretty realistic & has the largest map (playing area) out of any game available. When you shoot an enemy, you can actually see the hit & blood spray. Depending on where the hit is on the enemy's body or vehicle effects the damage inflicted. There's so much to do in the game: a couple of campaigns, single missions, car racing, etc. This helps to extend the "life" of the game; meaning, I'll be playing it for quite awhile (versus a few days & get tired of it). The one thing that I dislike is the pace of the missions. Just like the computer game version, the pace is a bit too fast. Just as you're getting used to a mission or how to control your player/vehicle or reload/switch weapons, the mission is over. Either you completed it or you died. They player is very hard to control compared to other games such as Battlefield 2 or Halo. It's just not as fluid as the other games. I found myself getting stuck trying to go up stairs & such. Also, selecting & reloading the different weapons can be a pain in the butt & frustrating (because people are shooting at you). Overall, the game is great & very entertaining.Read full review
This was one of my favorite war games from the computer so I had to get it. It takes place during the cold war and allows you to choose whatever role you wish to play. You can pilot helicopters, bombers, APC's, Tanks, and a whole array of civilian vehicles as well as multiple infantry roles. Over all it was an excellant game!
Other than some sketchy graphics here and there, this is hands down the most underrated First Person Shooter on the market. It's tactical realism mimics actual Army training closer than any other game i've seen. If you're looking for overall realism, this is the game for you!
This game is awesome - will take time to master, but is fun to command so much. If you like BattleField 2 - this is more indepth.
