We love and use these stainless press studs (snaps) in our own marine trimming business for attaching mesh window covers and canvas biminis. They are corrosion resistant and durable and stand up to all weather and marine conditions. Awesome! Not to be compared to the lightweight brass or nickel plated press studs sold through haberdasheries or cheap imports.
For use with all marine and auto applications, ute tonneaus and RV covers, biminis and boat canopies. Also great for leather and denim items such as bags, jackets and denim jeans. Also has many uses for camping applications. Packed into sets of 25 from stock by At Sea Trim.
FREE POSTAGE AND HANDLING. SAME DAY SHIPPING for purchases made before 3pm.
PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR E-BAY STORE FOR MORE LISTINGS AND OTHER ACCESSORIES. CHEERS!
FYI : Snaps are used to fasten 2 pieces of material like a button. This is also called press stud, or simply "snap". They are commonly used on bimini covers, tarps, camper covers, and clothing because they are tough yet easy to use. You can attach snap fasteners to fabrics by plying, or hammering. There are different types of snap fasteners available. These ones are called post snaps. Post snaps are best used with densely woven or natural / synthetic fabrics.
INSTRUCTIONS: If you want to install snap fasteners, here are the steps you need to do:
1. Cut a hole in your fabric enough to fit the cap snap prong. Insert the prong through the hole and the socket should go over it. Using a hammer, tap the cap prong and the socket so that these will be tightly secured.
2. On the other side of the fabric, cut a hole enough to fit the post prong. Insert the post prong like you did the cap and place the stud over it. Using a hammer tap the shorter one to secure it.
