So, What is a Penny Press?  A Penny Press is a machine that takes a penny coin or similar token and feeds it between a roller and a die wheel. This process flattens and stretches the coin into and elongated shape whilst imprinting a unique, customised design of your choice on to it. This interactive experience is totally controlled by the customer: The customer selects which pattern they desire from the 4 options, then inserts a predetermined amount of money (you decide how much) into the press. This operates a hopper which is filled with shiny pennies or tokens and it deposits 1 penny/token into the electronic coin dropper, this in turn delivers the coin to the die wheel, The customer then turns the wheel which sets the rollers in motion, pressing the design into the penny/token. Once the rollers have completed their cycle the coins drops out slides down a chute and into the collection tray.

The Gearbox

Rest assured that your customers will not be disappointed. An electronic timing system ensures that the gearbox never misprints a coin, while a very clever design feature ensures that

coins are pressed flat every single time. This results in a reliable and robust gearbox that will produce hundreds of thousands of souvenirs.

In fact an independent testing laboratory said it was “over engineered” showing in their testing that it takes 5 tonnes of pressure to press a coin while our gearbox is rated for more than

9 tonnes of pressure.

The Die Wheel

The heart of the gearbox.

The Die Wheel has your custom images on it. Though we hold penny presses in stock, the die wheels are made to order with your images.

Simply send us 4 images, which can be in any format and we will make them into line drawings then send you proofs.

Once you approve the proof the die wheel will be made and then express shipped to us, fitted to your penny press and tested.
