Japanese 555 Tie Rod End R/H
Toyota Land Cruiser 79" 6 cylinder variant.
To determine if you need to replace the Tie Rod end on your Toyota, have
someone turn the steering wheel for you from side to side, It does not to be
much, just enough to take up the load, Whilst they are doing this, And you are
underneath, If you see or feel excessive movement you will need to replace them,
Tie Rod ends are Roadworthy item.
Some
technical info on the Tie rod ends…
• Boot
Fitment Tie rod
end boots have been redesigned to include internal metal spring rings, top and
bottom. The inclusion of these rings ensures that the boot has a more
secure and neat fit, thus offering greater resistance to
contaminants.
• Boot
Material The material of the dust boots has been changed to a
100% CR neoprene. This new material is treated for high ozone and weather
resistance, low flammability, and high oil, fuel and chemical tolerance,
offering greater resistance to contaminants and increased
longevity.
• Ball Pin –
Material
Being one
of the most critical components of any steering or suspension product, a great
deal of time has been spent refining the ball pin. The ball pins on new
items are now being manufactured from SCM435 molybdenum and chromium alloy
steel.
• Ball Pin –
Hardness Heat treatment is applied to the ball studs making
the hardness of the ball surface 20-25 Rockwell with depth of .3-.5mm.
This hardening process aids the ball stud in reducing wear, providing for longer
life of the component, and allowing the factory to offer their 3 year 100,000km
Warranty.
• Ball Pin –
Movement Newly manufactured items also includes an extra
production process in the ball pin called a ‘mirror treatment’. This
finish involves the ball being polished to a radius tolerance of 0.0015mm.
The polishing process gives the final ball stud a superior surface, and much
smoother movement during rotation.
•
Encapsulation Over 90% of the new products coming through are
now fully encapsulated, packed with high quality French Molybdenum Disulphide
Grease. Full encapsulation offers zero movement in the ball stud, unlike
the older style metal to metal designs. The full encapsulation provides
for a smoother and quieter operation, and subsequent increased
longevity.
Full encapsulation also means that there is no need for grease
nipples. Many alternative brands offer encapsulated product, but still
offer the provision for greasing with a grease nipple, which is
unnecessary. If actually greased in these circumstances, the grease has
nowhere to go, and if pressure is continued, greasing can result in the
dislocation of the base plate and subsequent failure of the joint.
• Nylon
Seat The nylon seat supplied in the fully encapsulated
product is manufactured from nylon impregnated with molybdenum disulphide, again
for improved smoothness and wear characteristics.
• Phosphate
Coating You might also notice a
change in the general appearance of some of the products. The entire part
(with the exception of the boot) are treated with a phosphate coating, giving
them a smooth black appearance, forming a protective cover to permanently
protect the steel surface from corrosion.
When
replacing, mark the original unit on the arm, measure from pin to pin, remove
the worn Tie rod end, and replace with new one, thread it on to the mark you
made, double check the measurement from pin to pin, Then install the arm,
tighten the castle nut, ensure you replace the split pin.
If
you are not totally comfortable with the measurement, it is recommended to get a
professional Wheel alignment.

What Can Be Returned?
Road Runner Offroad will accept any of our products for return if there is a fault with the
product or the customer is unhappy with the performance of the item within a set time period.
If it is a branded product that we have sold for another ‘manufacturer’, the return will
be passed onto the ‘manufacturer’ to be determined by the ‘manufacturer’ if a warranty or refund will be accepted.
Road Runner Offroad will not be held liable for another manufacturer’s return policy.
The original copy of the invoice must be provided to Road Runner Offroad.
Road Runner Offroad will not refund or exchange a product because you ‘simply changed your mind’.
We will accept returns up to a maximum of 7 days from delivery date.
Warranty is different from returns and depends on the particular parts, manufacturer and circumstances of
the claim.
If a "part" is fitted incorrectly and is the cause of the "part" being faulty Road Runner Offroad will not exchange/Refund or replace the part. |
Where Do Customers Return Items?

Products must be returned from the original place of purchase,
The parts must be sent with a copy of the original tax invoice with up to date contact details and a typed letter explaining what the problem is with the parts supplied
as well as your account details or credit card details to Road Runner Offroad,
Parts must be placed on a trackable freight Carrier and Road Runner Offroad will not be held liable for lost freight, and will not pay or replace lost freight if we did not organize the freight. |
Who Pays For Returns?

Parts that are fitted incorrectly and cause the part to be faulty, Road Runner Offroad will not pay for Freight,
When a return is not due to a manufacturers fault, the customer must pay freight costs to Road Runner Offroad,
20% restocking fee will apply for products that are not faulty,
If Road Runner Offroad has sent you the wrong part, we will pay full cost of freight,
Parts to be returned for assessment are to be paid by the customer, If approved Road Runner Offroad or manufacturer will reimburse the cost of freight. |
Credit For Return?

If a return has been approved and the customer would like the money returned, Road Runner Offroad will only return the money to the EFT/PayPal account or credit card number that the original invoice was debited to. |
Packaging Materials
If products are returned in damaged and / or not the original packaging, the cost of the packaging will be taken off the refund amount.
