|Seller Notes:||“In February 1982, The Commercial Savings Bank of Australia Limited became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bank of New South Wales Savings Bank Limited. When merged, they became known as Westpac Banking Corporation.”|
A promotional money box from C.B.A. Bank.
The Commercial Savings Bank of Australia Limited.
In the form of a rocket ship, with coin slot in the cone shaped tip of the rocket.
Facade of this cone tip is embossed "C.B.A."
This was a single use money box, as noted on the bottom of the mid section of the money box;
"When this rocket is full, take it to any branch of
THE COMMERCIAL SAVINGS BANK OF AUSTRALIA LIMITED.
Contents will be credited to your account and a new money box issued free."
Although this money box has no signs of use, the cone tip is able to be removed and re-attached as there's a tiny break in the inside rim of the yellow cylindrical shaped part of the money box
(this can be seen in photo 11 - on the far side inside rim).
This is not seen when the tip of the rocket is in place.
In good vintage condition maintaining its vibrant colouring and just showing some minimal scuff marks.
Measures 20.5 x 5.2 x 5.2cm and weighs just 32grams.
