I purchased one of these 15 - 20 years ago. My sister came to stay when she broke her wrist recently and could only use one hand so I let her use my Remington Amaze. She loved it but, being a bit reluctant to part with mine I was amazed to find they still made it. Bought one for her to arrive when she returned home... kept mine and still got one happy sister. The attachments have been updated since getting mine and work even better. This is a "must have" for all hair types.

I'm so disappointed with this product and wish I had listened to a friend who advised me not to buy it. I also agree with some of the comments from other reviewers. Even the lowest heat/speed setting is absolutely red hot, especially with the straight/paddle brush (the only one I can use for my hair) which has wide vent slots at the back where the hot air escapes onto the scalp, neck, ears and forehead. Ironically, for something that is supposed to be drying as well as styling your hair, the extreme heat causes the skin to sweat and as fast as you're trying to dry your hair, it's getting damp again from sweating (my friend had the same)! It also makes the hair itself so hot that trying to handle it to section it is impossible without waiting for it to cool down which doubles the time taken. Out of curiosity I switched it onto the faster and even hotter setting - which honestly could be considered for military use it's so dangerously hot and damagingly noisy! I was so desparate to find a way of using this 'Airstyler' I even tried the cool setting to dry my hair, but that obviously takes ages and being the same speed as the faster/hotter setting, it is so incredibly noisy that on the few occasions I have used this, my hearing was left muffled for hours afterwards! I have never experienced anything like that with any other hairdryer - not even the high-powered blasters used at the hairdressers! I wish Vidal Sassoon still produced their VS147 which was the best hot air styler ever made and had two separate heat and speed controls which made it possible to mix whatever setting needed, and at temperatures that didn't potentially cause third degree burns and hearing damage! Now even they only make these stylers with one dual heat/speed control. If anyone out there has an old VS 147 1200w Hot Air Styler lurking in a drawer that isn't being used (I still have the brushes) I'd love to buy it from you!Read full review

Well packed with various attachments for a variety of styles. It heats up quickly and has controls for how hot of strong you want it. If you have very short hair you may need to try it out a few times because the smallest attachment 19mm is not that small. The only other minus was for me, my hands tend to be stiff and the handle is not small so holding it is tricky. Having said that it is great, quick versatile and I really like it I would recommend it
