REPLAYTV/SONICBLUE cooling fan system, with automatic thermoswitch control, for Replay TV/SonicBlue 4000-series, 5000-series, and 5500-series machines.


NOTE: THIS AUCTION IS FOR A REPLAY COOLING FAN UNIT ONLY, AND DOES NOT INCLUDE A REPLAY/SONICBLUE DVR.

This kit add an additional high-quality, super-low-noise, temperature-controlled 80mm fan to your Replay.  This system provides a very quiet, effective cooling solution for 40xx, 50xx, and 55xx-model Replay TV and Sonicblue DVR models.

The system has a thermoswitch module, which senses the temperature above your disk drive and turns the fan on and off as needed. In addition, for all 40xx models, and most 50xx models, the kit also controls your preexisting fan. No more fans running continuously for those machines.

The fan is equipped with a special vibration-dampening foam surround, to further prevent noise and vibration. Every kit is carefully constructed and finished.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed, and within the first 30 days, you can return the system for a refund or exchange for another type of cooling unit.  In addition, all of my systems are covered by a complete 12-month parts and labor warranty.

Features:

  • Includes a super-low-noise fan unit, which pulls cool air into the bottom of your Replay unit, causing hot air to be pushed out of the other vents.
  • The fan is controlled by a thermoswitch, which only turns the fan on when needed.
  • Installation takes about 15 minutes.
  • Helps if you are suffering from the noisy cooling fan on the 4000 or most 5000-series machines. For these models, the kit reduces the speed of your existing fan until it is whisper quiet. Then the additional low speed fan pulls cool air into the case and circulates it around inside. 
  • Note: for all 5500 machines, and a few 5000-series machines with 5500-style motherboards, this system adds a 2nd fan, but the thermoswitch may not control your existing fan, because the stock fan must remain connected to the DVR's motherboard.  However, the additional fan (controlled by the thermoswitch) adds needed cooling, and causes the existing fan to barely run.


The fan kit is completely wired and ready to drop into place inside your machine. Full instructions are supplied, including numerous photographs.
