S Series Valiant "fishscale Dash facia"
Is your S series valiant dash a bit sad from the last 52 years of service as one of the coolest and
most distinctive cars on the road?
After being a valiant enthusiast myself, i found the lack of repo parts for the sv1 very frustrating when trying to restore my own S series.
so here we have for auction "1x repo Fishscale dash facia", the template was laser plotted at 2mm increments for accuracy from my original instrument panel from a 62 Series valiant. we found the S series dash is slightly concave and isn't flat. So .6mm alloy was used to conform to the shape. The facia was cut on a water jet cutter and fishscale which is "similar " to the original pattern was then applied.
To fit the facia - your instrument cluster needs to be removed, we recommend a contact adhesive easily available from major hardware stores and some clamps to hold in place until the adhesive has set. This facia was designed as a direct fit no need to remove or risk breaking the tabs off the chrome ignition switch ring (which would be really hard to find)
These aren't available from any of the "BIG 3" Mopar suppliers in Australia
I have done a limited run of these
