I am changing from Scala Rider Products to the Sena 20s, after reading reviews. Since I just received my Sena 20s system, I have only had a chance to use them once. My son and I tested them on our Harleys, at speeds of 70 MPH and could hear absolutely no wind noise from the other rider, and could easily carry on a normal conversation. We could hear each other clearly at all speeds. I was able to pair it to my Scala Rider 9x, but when paired to it, I could not pair with any other intercom at the same time. To pair back up with the Sena 20s, I had to use the "clear all" option and then repair to the other Sena 20s. Pairing to my cell phone was quick and easy. I liked the feature, where I could listen to music from my iphone and also talk to the other rider on the intercom. When you talk over the intercom, the music instantly fades to the background and gradually picks back up when you stop talking. The range seems to be about the same as the Scala Rider 9x. The sound quality and noise cancellation is superior to the Scala Rider 9x.Read full review

Installing the clamp on a Shoei RF1200 is not easy but once in place is good. Phone calls work well. Voice commands are hit and miss off the bike but at speed they are useless. Clarity is great off the bike but at speed is barley acceptable. Help desk takes days to get back, don't answer all questions, mainly in what order do I pair the items, and tells me can't use it on my 2015 BMW R1200Rt with both the bike stereo and my phone at the same time. The tap the unit feature does not seem to work and the wheel use is not intuitive but I understand is good once you figure it out. I have only worked with one of the two units so maybe the other unit will work. The app on the computer is a very easy and nice way to input settings. I keep accidentally hitting the intercom button and it keeps saying paired but not sure what it is pairing too. Would be nice if the clamp did not have to be removed to switch to earbuds from the speakers.Read full review

My brother and I just ride over 5800 miles in 9 days on a motorcycle trip out west. We did a similar trip last year and found that helmets and batwing fairing mounted speakers just don't get through your helmet at 75-80 miles an hour, especially on 1700 v twin with aftermarket pipes. The days were long and often we both struggled with fatigue. This year, we had great conversation and listened to music clearly as we rode with the Sena 20s. At the end of each day we both felt that the ride went so much quicker and even worked in 200 miles of rain. There were several times that we were able to warn each other of aggressive/distracted drivers or call out directions when detours wee needed and this was so convenient. The Sena 20s lasted for both chat and music running 10- 12 hour rides with out need to put on charger. I can't imagine riding without one. I have a shoi neotec modular helmet and my brother the new hjc rfa. Both helmets fit the Sena 20s just fine. If thinking about this unit, think no longer and get your set today..you will not regret it.Read full review

Excited to get an upgrade on my ability to commicate with my wife on the motorcycle. Package arrived and during inventory checking found no wall charger capabilities due to the fact they did not include them. I was shocked frankly that I spent the kind of money on these and yet before I could use them had to purchase a charger. They rely on a USB connector to hook to a computer to charge them. I do not carry a computer/tablet when I travel. There's some postings that comment on the water resistance of these and associate problems. I sure hope that I don't have to remove these during rain situations. Communicating with my wife during times of rainy situations is a huge help. My previous BT intercoms never failed during incliment weather and at least they included wall chargers for charging during downtime on long rides..... P.S. just to clarify my company I work for was gracious enough to let me post this using a company PC...... Jeff from Vienna Wv.Read full review
