You will still be wanting to recharge frequently but battery life is much improved over the SII which I replaced with this.h. Some people would find the screen size a little large especially to use one handed but the large screen helps with viewing of Web pages. Plenty of memory and grunt making the Galaxy S3 a joy to use. It integrates well with Google Maps and Navigon and has advantages over standard GPS as you can search directly by business name for directions.
- Why you bought it After receiving benchmark customer service from Apple Genius Bar previously, tt service level slipped badly for a bricked 4S. I warned them that it would result in me moving to Samsung, and the store manager (of Perth) said "that's your choice as a consumer." Yes, yes it is... - What you like most about it SO customisable (if that's really a word, I'm typing this on my iPad, and of course it auto speed it with a 'z' so it probably isn't in the Queen's English) and very intelligent about using information e.g. Linking Facebook profile pictures with existing contacts. Amazing. - What you dislike about it Even using Android ICS, the interface is clunkier that Apple's. But considering the constant massive improvements in Droid, there's always hope. - Whether or not you would buy the product again I probably won't ever buy this product again, but considering the limited upgrades with each and every iPhone, I'll probably remain a Samsung Galaxy (or maybe Nexus) customer for the long term. I needed a new phone with more memory than the one I had and both my daughters have a S11 so I went for the S111. Apart from the quick guide coming in all languages but English the phone as been perfect. I'm not whiz bang with any type of technology but this phone was easy to set up. Love it, love it, love it.
I brought this product as a upgrade to my Nokia N8, which was a very good phone in its day, But I wanted the cutting edge in technology, so brought the Samsung Galaxy S3. I was not disappointed .. The speed is absolutely amazing .. I am so impressed with how fast I can take pics now .. Though the N8 had 12 Meg camera, is mind blowing .. I am also so impressed as a gamer how good the games look, I also have a Samsung 3D TV and can use the Allshare technology to play games on the Big Screen .. It's hard to believe im using a phone .. The phone is very clear when making phone calls .. But as Im on the slower Vodafone Nextwork I dont use the full 4G capabilities .. But on my home wireless its fantastic .. I did have some problems with the auto dimming on the internet browser .. but watched the youtube tips on how to fix it and now It's running great .. I suggest that if you have the means .. Buy the Samsung Galaxy S3 .. It's a phone that keeps giving .. So Impressed !!Read full review
I switched from iPhone and so thrilled with the choice. The web browsing is amazing even on 3G and I'm often tethering my netbook on the Samsung S3 while traveling to work on the train. It literally is a walking computer and if you treat it. as such, it becomes really easy to use. The music hub is a great feature and a whole bunch of additional free apps help make the experience even better. I no longer bother with synching my music collections... why, when I have access to a whole lot more more on the roam and after my free three month trial its only a small monthly fee. The built in GPS Navigation is fantastic! No more need for a separate GPS. My only gripe would be that they need more work on the keyboard sensitivity and perhaps even predictive text. Its far too sensitive, even with "female" size fingers! I'm trying to figure out how to tone the sensitivity down but in the meantime I recommend the "Swipe Text" feature to other Samsung owners. I love this superior alternative to iPhone, and especially the freedom to choose how I want to configure, or whatever I want to install or change on "my" phone; unlike being tIed to Apple's restrictions even tho I've paid for the item. Try it and like it too.Read full review
