Get both coarser grades of our Track-Cleaner in one single pack!
Save on packaging/post & pack costs and get extra free braids
I've been preaching the gospel of clean tracks for three years here now and for the last two, backed them up with our pure copper Hi-Spec braids. A great reduction in the amount of arcing comes as a by-product of the design brief to give as near to unbroken contact as possible.
It is this arcing which draws the carbon content out of the steel rails and deposits it on the surface, causing a resistive barrier, which causes more arcing! It's not a virus but the net result is just the same.
Our 'soft' Twin-Pack has been our best selling item since Christmas, but some of you have been asking for a coarser grade still to take the elbow-grease out of removing really heavy deposits, or rust, which still wore away your track-cleaners. Last week, I introduced a more aggressive one still, which which partners the 'Medium' version in this formiddable combo!
The 'rule of thumb' is: "If you find yourself having to rub hard enough to seriously wear your track-cleaner, you would actually also wear your track less, too, by using a coarser grade gently!"
Treat the blue one as a last resort only. You should ideally finish with Medium, followed by Fine, in order to remove any surface scratches!
We will also follow this listing up with a 'Full Monte' pack containing all three grades.
Picture above shows the standard Soft (brown) version!
This is how it works!
First, dive into the old track box and find a piece that's got pretty grotty rails, but not buckled so badly that it's totally irretrievable!
The lower rail shows how this old piece of track came out of the box; the top one is 90-100 seconds easy work later!.
I use a rubber, impregnated with a very fine abrasive, sufficiently powerful to cut through the carbon surface without unduly harming the steel rail beneath (it does, in fact, come out beautifully polished)!
This piece, in fact, actually only needed the fine 'Soft' grade to bring it up very nicely, but you do get one or two, espescially if they have a bit of rust on the surface (if there's more than just a bit - do yourself a favour; throw them away) that wear your rubber away by the time you see any results!
The tongue of the tool polishes the sides of the slot, removing accumulated grime and reducing friction. Don't worry if it snaps off when it grows long enough to catch the ribs at the bottom of the slot as it will soon grow again with use.
(I use it to polish the contact tabs on the end of the rail, which helps keep it trimmed usefully)!
We're able to sell this combined pack with the individual prices slightly discounted and include the larger 10-pack of 27mm Hi-Spec Braids as a FREE Sample.
Full production tooling is now operational; production-costing estimates proved accurate, so we can confidently add the full range to our existing catalogue!

Hi, I'm Dave , a former retail trader and 1/10 off-road racer, now in retirement. (My mates all said I should be retired, even when I was racing). That's friends for you! I grew up fascinated by all models mechanical, had tremendous fun control-line flying and have also been a slot-car nut since I first saw the very early ones in the mid-50's (my first set was a Wrenn - 1/52 scale).
I started going through my loft and Ebay-ing its' contents just before Christmas 2006, starting with SCALEXTRIC Cars and Accesories. Cars have all gone now and, since I really don't have an 'Alladin's Cave' that I go back to for more stock, when I say "when it's gone, it's gone" it really is! I later started adding Vintage TAMIYA Spares to which the same applies.
I was amazed at the demand and caught myself out by listing the bulk of my Boomerang front wishbones at a 'buy it now price' that was much too cheap. Well done, those hawk-eyed customers who decimated the stock in a couple of hours! I've learned now. If I have a few of an item and I'm not sure, I'll always auction one first to get an idea of its' value before doing a shop listing.
I listed a couple of PARMA lexan shells which seemed to generate some interest, I still have one or two left so I will list them progressively as time permits. My stock of their 'Custom Colour' Lexan Paint has now all gone, and a box of the PACTRA product, which I was going to list next, did not pass my random sample testing before listing, so I dare not sell it.
I'm getting on with listing my Schumacher CAT and Cougar spares and tyres now. I also had some bits that wasn't really sure if they were worth listing, like the plastic parts only for CVA shocks and other oddments. I tried auction a few and the answer seems to be some are! Also, I have boxes of spares for PB's ' MiniMustang', Maxima' and 'Ace' 1/10 buggies, as well as the French MRX (very strong car, I used to use race one at one time).
I will get a private website setup to list these eventually, but if you do want anything and can't wait, just drop me a line and I'll see what I can find.
