Great watch! One of my favorites. Very substantial, and comfortable to wear. It is automatic, so no batteries! I like the build quality of it, it appears it could last from now on. Stainless steel leaves that impression on me. I know it needs upkeep but it appears from a longevity standpoint it will be here. What's not to like? The blue of the dial is slightly subdued and very attractive.

Where has this divers watch been my whole life? Big? Yes. But more important WIDE, which spreads the weight, making it light & comfortable on the wrist. Then there’s the movement, which has proven itself ridiculously accurate during the 2 weeks I’ve owned it. I have NOT needed to reset the time on this watch yet. Stylish? I indicated No, because it’s more big & chunky, and frankly, more of a “tool” watch than a style piece.

A turtle always wears nicely due to the unique cushion case. The blue dial evokes an oceanic feel and offers good contrast improving readability even in extreme lighting conditions.

I had a seiko in the 80s when I was serving in the Army. Don’t remember what happened to that watch but I wanted another. This watch is worth every penny. I changed the band to a shark mesh and i couldn’t be happier.

I own a lot of watches. This Seiko is the least expensive, by far, that is in my regular rotation. It keeps good time. It wears comfortably. It looks good. I don't have to worry about scratching it or getting it wet because, in the first case, I didn't cost that much, and in the second case, it is water resistant beyond the circumstances in which I would use it. What don't I like? First, I would be estactic rather than just happy if it had a sapphire rather than a mineral crystal. The mineral crystal often looks cloudy and doesn't provide the crisp look of a sapphire. It also is easier to scratch. Second, the watch bracelet has a very unusual design for the pins that connect the links. They are three-part thingies that don't respond well to the typical techniques for removing links. I eventually figured it out but it took me a couple of hours to remove three links. I suggest taking it to an authorized Seiko jeweler to have this done.Read full review
