925 STERLING SILVER

Sterling Silver consists of 92.5% pure silver. This standard used to assure consistent quality amongst sterling silver products. Sterling silver is often used in preference to pure silver because of its strength, hardness, its ability to resist wear and hold its shape.

925 STERLING SILVER FILLED OR SILVER FILLED

925 Sterling Silver Filled or Silver Filled are layered silver products that are constructed of two or three layers. The core metal consists of a jeweller’s brass, 92.5% Silver or purer is then mechanically bonded to the surface with heat and pressure. Our 925 Sterling Silver Filled or Silver Filled products contain a minimum of 10% or 1/10 of silver by weight. 925 Sterling Silver Filled or Silver Filled products are considered to be hundreds of times thicker than a plated product and have the same properties as Sterling Silver. Under usual wear conditions product will maintain its shine and colour for a lifetime.

ARGENTIUM SILVER

Argentium Silver alloy is the most advanced tarnish resistant silver currently available. Argentium alloy contains the same silver content as Sterling Silver and will also maintain the same shine and durability.

VERMEIL 24CT

Vermeil has a base of sterling silver or better (minimum of 92.5% pure silver) plated with gold or gold alloy of 10 carat or better, the plating must be 2.5 microns or thicker to be classified as Vermeil. Vermeil 24ct has a plating of 24 carat gold or gold alloy.

14CT GOLD FILLED

14ct Gold Filled is a layered gold product that is constructed of two or three layers. The core metal consists of a jeweller’s brass, the gold alloy is then mechanically bonded to the surface with heat and pressure. Gold Filled is legally required to contain a minimum of 5% or 1/20 by weight of its relevant gold. 14ct Gold Filled can also be referred to as 14/20. A Gold Filled product is considered to be around 100 times thicker than a plated product which is estimated to contain around 0.05% of its relevant gold by weight. Under usual wear conditions product will maintain its golden shine and colour for a lifetime.

9CT GOLD

9ct Gold is 37.5% pure gold, consisting of 9 parts pure gold and 15 parts other metal/s (9/24).

18CT GOLD

18ct Gold is 75% pure gold, consisting of 18 parts pure gold and 6 parts other metal/s (18/24).
