SureFire is definitely a quality light! two level light is good idea. high level is indeed bright of medium wide beam width-which makes it perfect for closer work. I wish low level was a bit brighter(personal preference) and a lanyard loop would be handy for keeping your light from getting away from you. non-conductive yellow case is perfect for my electrical work and easy to keep track of.

Best lightweight flashlight available, and yet super tough with nitrolon body (difficult even for Marines to destroy). The only downside is the need for less commonly available batteries, but with dual settings it won't run down quite as quickly as those with single high power settings only. I got the yellow one for hiking/camping since it is much easier to see if you drop it. Black is great for tactical applications, but not so much when you drop it in the dark in the forest.

I have several of these in my tool bags and backpack. Batteries seem to be very robust and don't leak. Shelf life is excellent. You get a "warning" that the batteries are low. Great product.
