Iconic, Clare Valley Shiraz Cab

The other day a couple of WineMarketeers were having a chat in the office. 'What do you do to combat insomnia?' asked one, 'I just drink a good glass of wine' said the other, 'does it work?' says the first, 'I'm not sure, but it makes me happy while I wait to fall asleep' is the reply...

And while we're not sure that's an actual remedy for insomnia, we know we like drinking a good glass of wine. Sometimes those glasses are pretty big. Anyway, Taylor's offered us a super deal on one of their best-loved red wines — the Promised Land Shiraz Cabernet. And boy, did we enjoy a good glass. Or two.

Taylor's are a 5-star rated James Halliday winery from the premium growing region of the Clare Valley in South Australia. They source superb quality from from their vineyards, have an award winning winemaking team, and set about making some of the tastiest wines of high drinkability known to man. And they succeed.

This juicy, richly flavoured red comes from a warmer vintage — it's generous, plush and massively satisfying, and works a treat with BBQs, Bolognese and beef.

Better yet, we've secured an amazing discount for the wines — normally retailing for $16.99 we've smashed the price to a tiny $8.99 a bottle and thrown delivery in for free as well. And though the wine might not actually cure insomnia, we know that this wine, and the deal, we certainly make you happy.

  • 5 Star James Halliday rated winery
  • Taylors: an Iconic Australian brand (who didn't drink a cask or two in our student days?)
  • Award winning winemaking team
  • Great Price
  • FREE Delivery

Winery Information:

What do seahorses have to do with wine? Five star Halliday rated winery Taylors was founded when Taylor & Sons set out to find the perfect location for their vineyards. Selecting a site in the Clare Valley, tiny fossilised seahorses were found in the limestone bedrock. Taylors have been going strong ever since: winemaker Mitchell Taylor has wine in his blood going back three generations now, and while Taylors aren't the flashiest kids on the block boasting about all their medals, trophies and high-scoring wines (leave that to Winemarket!) you can rely on them to produce dependable, high-quality wines.

What is WineMarket?
WineMarket is your doorway to the inner sanctum of the Australian wine industry, your insider on the ground with access to the kind of deals the big retailers wouldn't see in a month of sober Sundays. That's because while they're knotting their silk ties and reconciling their restaurant expenses, we're working side by side with our winemaking mates, kicking Barossa dirt off our boots and trying to shift shiraz stains off our jeans.
Read More about WineMarket
A buyer of wine via the website who does not like a particular bottle supplied (within 6 months of the sale) need only notify WineMarket as soon as possible to obtain a refund of the price of that bottle. WineMarket will then advise if the wine is also to be collected from the buyer. If a case of wine was purchased, and the buyer has only opened one bottle and not liked it, they need only notify WineMarket and be able to make the remaining bottles available for collection (unopened and in original saleable condition) to obtain a refund of the price of the whole case. If WineMarket reasonably believe that a buyer has breached these terms and conditions, or has abused the Customer Promise, WineMarket may suspend or cancel the Customer Promise in relation to that buyer, cancel a particular order made by the buyer or close that buyer's account.

WineMarket Delivery!What about delivery?

How much does delivery cost?
Although we can sometimes get a little insular down here in the Barossa and think the world starts at Lyndoch and ends at Stockwell the reality is Australia is a bloody big place. A massive tyre-shredding, petrol-chewing island continent where the toilet stops are few and far between. That's why we're pretty proud of our commitment to get your wine to you, pretty much wherever you may be in this huge country and the most you'll ever pay is $20.

One case/carton for $8 is pretty good value, 3 or more for just $20 is, we reckon, unbeatable.

There's a couple of tiny corners of this big, brown land we can't quite get too — any island smaller than Tassie is a bit of a problem and we're not too keen to break the law when it comes to dry communities — but if you're one of the 99.999% of the population we can get to why don't you give us a try. Please note: a case refers to a single bottle, 6 bottle or 12 bottle case, carton or package.

How long will my delivery take?
WineMarket endeavour to deliver wine to Australian capital city metropolitan areas within 7-10 working days. For delivery addresses in Australian regional centers and outside metropolitan capital cities, allow at least 14 working days. In outlying areas, delivery may take a little longer. WineMarket do not however guarantee any specific delivery date.

Wine is normally delivered Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and to either business premises or a residence. If the premises are unattended, the wine will not be left but rather the courier will leave a card and the buyer needs to arrange delivery to an attended address.
