So far so good. I am using it with Propellerhead Reaso 6 , works very very good , no problem at all. I am also using it with Cubase LE 2004 version that came with Lexicom Omega Interface and works awesom. I Don't like the Cubase LE 4 that came with The Tascam US 2000 because It only let me record omly 2 channel at a time. Surpricely , Works better with the old cubase le version. I Am using it strickly as an interface , connected to a mixer , in my case ,a Peavey FX 16 ,and I pickin up audio from the first click input from the mixer's inserts. So far , I recorded 10 channel at one time , NO PROBLEM AT ALL. I'm using a Asus laptop with Window 7 Ultimate 64 bits. Like i Said Before , Cubase LE 4 , Only let You record 2 Channel At A Time. I guess tha it will work fine with any Asio software that handles multiple tracks , and almost forgot , It works very good with Pro Tools 6.7 , on My desck top the version I Have. Best Regards R. I have been recording bands since tape was invited & let me tell you the technology now a days has made it easier to do it yourself. I have been recording on M-audio Delta 1010 (another great piece of gear I might put on for sale) but it was always very hard to move around my desk top to someone else rehearsal space or to a live show. With this unit it is very portable all you need is your laptop a couple mic's, cable's & some stands your good to go. The pre-amps very comparable to any other interface I've used. I've used the M-audio 410 firewire & I didn't really like that unit myself. I like the easy to see led light on the front to set levels & watch your clipping & the access to record a direct signal like electric guitar or bass right on the front of the unit. There are one draw backs on this unit for me. It only has one headphone out & if your trying to record a whole band live this becomes an issue. I had to buy a headphone amp unit so everyone could have a set of headphones but other than that I would highly recommend this product for it's portability & how easy to use.Read full review
I bought this interface and a hand full of mics because I wanted to make good multi-track drum recordings. I had never previously attempted home recording... but with this interface and my laptop (running Reaper), it was easy. The LED indicators make if fairly simple to ensure that you get good levels without clipping. At the price that I paid for this on eBay, I would definitely recommend the US-2000 to anyone who wants to put together a decent digital multi-track recording work station.
Works fine once you get it figured out
