I have bought many different inverters in the last couple of years, mostly cheap ones. The cheap inverters use high frequency switching and have a narrow range of operation so they can cut the cost by using small cores and making them light weight. Because of the high frequency switching and the lack of proper shielding they interfere with the AM radio and other communication devices upsetting nearby campers in the camping ground and make the AM radio in the car inoperable. The claims that the cheap inverters make about the output is also highly questionable as is the quality of the output sine wave looks more like a series of steps thus causing more interference to nearby devices. The Phoenix uses a proper (rather heavy) core and produces a clean sine wave and doesn’t interfere with other devices or communications equipment. It also operates at 375 Ampere/Volts (as clamed in the specs)and has a much larger surge output then the cheaper units easily starting device that I could use using a cheaper inverter that claimed to have the same specification. The build quality is good and is the only inverter that I have found that will operate up to 17V allowing use with lithium batteries (The main reason for choosing this inverter). Pros Well-constructed Good quality heavy duty terminals Clean sine wave Starts device that require high start-up current No interference to other devices. Does what the specification say. Wide range of input voltage Low unloaded power consumption Sleep mode (virtually no power being used until load is switch on) 17 Volt input for use with lithium Ion batteries Quiet, the variable speed fan only comes on with heavy loads Cons Cost more Weighs more than doubleRead full review

I have used “other” inverters in the past. This is a quality inverter from Victron. Good solid performance for its rated output.

I was recommended this product by other caravanners as they said it was very reliable.

It appears fit for purpose.

I purchased this inverter to run a domestic 240v fridge from solar and batterieson a houseboat. It runs an LG 279l digital inverter fridge perfectly and very economically much better than the dedicated 12v fridge that We had previously.
