This was the last good Summerslam(until 2010) and featured the return from major injuries on PPV by Triple H and Rey Mysterio this was significant as they both would go on to wrestle full time until 2010(on different/separate brands at the time) and would face opponents who would go onto retire from WWE or show up in another company. Anyway this Summerslam was good because it featured a segment involving Stone Cold with Matt Hardy and MVP, plus this is the third time that Summerslam came the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The other times was in 1989 and 1997. The event grossed over $1 million in ticket sales from an attendance of 17,441 out of a 17,040 maximum capacity building. Also This was the second year in a row that The Undertaker missed a Summerslam event.
