Super thin plastic. Might keep your speakers from getting wet but won't help sound quality. I can see them only hindering it. Anyway, not a fan of them.

cons - very thin flexible plastic, fairly shallow mounting depth which means virtually no internal volume which lessens mid bass, holes dont line up with speakers holes very well pros - cheap how the user can make it better - spray outside of baffle with spray undercoating to make it ridged and line inside with Poly-Fil. use the roll Poly-Fil that you use with blankets, not the loose fill that you use with pillows. works well and sounds better. due to the shallow depth, if you can mount it under/behind the mounting surface of the speaker (ie. inside door panel, under rear dash, under a spacer) you are able to create more volume which increases mid bass output. every 1/4" of space away from the speaker helps A LOT. my thoughts - its cheap and other reviews point out the cons so that wasnt anything i didnt already know about. After coating the outside with spray undercoating, it made the baffles a LOT more ridged. after adding the poly-fil to the inside, it brought back a lot of the mid bass that was lost. not all of it, but a lot. I bought this because it's plastic so keeps water and moisture away from the speaker. I placed a foam baffle I purchased inside of these plastic ones to deaden the sound so the door didn't rattle. I siliconed the 2 together. it's much cheaper and easier then using separate dino-matt inside the door and these would rattle without having to use something to sound deaden inside of these of dino matt is used outside of it in the door. If you are trying to keep mosture out away from the speaker this is the perfect baffle. If you are trying to deaden the sound, use a foam speaker baffle which can be found for many different prices but all are the same so the cheapest is the same as the higher priced ones in terms of quality. The foam can obsorb water and create a place for mold so this is perfect to use in combination. I did this to my friends car as well and it help to stop the rattling so much with the foam inside and this siliconed to it outside of it. Hope this helps others and fell free to contact me for any help or ideas on how to setup car audio. I hope you will be able to install nice equipment for a good price yourself instead of paying someone to don't and get charged way more then you should. It's not that hard. I'm a woman and rarely pickup a power tool so if I can do it, you can too.Read full review
