'in the springtime, it's ring-a-ding time..'
Step back into the 1980's and Yamaha IT's were everywhere. There were plenty of gun riders aboard the IT200, then considered the ideal enduro weapon. Air cooled, drum braked and two stroke - if you owned a plug spanner and a tyre lever then life was easy.
This IT200 lives in my garage from where it rarely comes out, and my wife would rather it became a new lounge. I'm selling it on the premise that I have a dodgy back, and that I need the funds to waste on a purchase of an old aussie muscle car...
It's a pretty good ride. Faster and a bit peakier than I remember them, it likes to throw a roost!
No so good bits
A good allround bike really. And I'm going to regret this as they will only get harder and harder to find.
Pickup is from Narrabri, North West NSW. 1 Hour north of Gunnedah, 6 hours drive from Sydney or Brisbane. I could possibly bring it to the next VMX festival in September but you would need to pay when the auction ends, not in Sept! Or bike transporters are pretty reasonable these day and I can deliver it to a trucking place etc.
To help with your decision, here are some sample questions and answers
Q. I'm a cheese-eating surrender monkey, will this bike be good for me?
Q. Is this a four stroke? And can you deliver to my Nanna's house? I can pay as soon as I sell my Xbox
Q. I think electric start is for big four-bangers and Nancy Boys, and I love the smell of two-stroke, will this bike suit me?
A. It sure will.
