Rodney Yee Interview included
Rodney Yee gets it all RIGHT!
This tape is quite amazing! Paced perfectly, and quite challenging. I practiced yoga at a studio until my schedlue prevented me from attending classes. I bought this tape so I could continue at home. My hunch was that no tape could take the place of my class. I was pleasantly surprised! This tape is not as good as class, but it surely comes in a close second! Highly recommended!
Well-timed, excellent for beginners
Challenging workout for beginners and intermediates who don't like to go to fast with power yoga. As others have mentioned, there are challenging poses at the end to work up to. For me, it was challenging enough to do the poses with form as beautiful as Rodney's. (I am new to Vinyasa, and have been doing gentle hatha for ten years.)
Well-timed. Poses are held enough to build strength, also to work on improving form and consciousness of that form. It will help the viewer to build form and strength in preparation for faster, more challenging workouts like Power Yoga Total Body Workout DVD.
Best overall Yoga workout video I have used
Rodney Yee gives concise, totally nonobtrusive verbal instruction in this video that can be used with or without actually viewing the screen as long as you have a basic knowledge of asanas. This gives you the freedom to concentrate on your body and the spirituality of your Yoga practice. The video is beautiful to watch as well and can be used by beginners, but gives an invigorating, overall workout for advanced students. Namaste.
Strength Building Yoga by Rodney
I've done many of Rodney's yoga DVD's but what was lacking in my collection was more of a "strength" yoga. This DVD has you holding the poses a little longer and has you do a few that are more challenging, like the crow position. Very strong arms are needed for this. The DVD incorporates everything in it but due to the harder and longer-held poses, this is more of a strength/yoga workout. Very good instruction as always from Rodney.
