One of the finest of all works on New Zealand botany. A further two volumes were planned but never published. This copy is interesting because the accompanying ephemeral material offers extra insight into the book's publication. It was available in the publisher's cloth for 10 shillings or a calf binding (this copy is the latter) for one pound. Bagnall 1884; not in Nissen BBI. See also Starke, June.
