My power went out and I brewed a whole pot of coffee in the same amount of time as my electric one. It fit right over the propane campstove burner and after it brewed I was able to take it off to make breakfast. It is awesome!

Do NOT try to reheat coffee on stove in pot! Use a small saucepan , as the bottom of the caraf handle will melt ! Take as Gospel the instruction to aline the handle, centered so to engage the drip basket valve otherwise an overflow will occur. I LIKE that the drip basket can EASILY be removed for cleaning. DO fortify the original packaging with packing tape to repackage and use to transport to your camp site......GOOD MORNING !

This coffee maker makes great coffee on your 2 or 3 burner stove. Used to really missmy morning coffee until we got this. Another camper in or group had this and we went right out and bought one. We used to use a percolator, but I hated it because it boils the coffee while making it, giving it a burned taste. VERY IMPORTANT - Make sure you turn off the burner when the coffee water has all been boiled. I know..... it tells you in the directions, but you cannot use the burner to keep the coffee hot. If you do, you will be buying a new coffeemaker. Ask me how I know. The only other problem we ran into was not putting the pot all the way in. Since you can remove the pot to pour a cup before it is done, the little valve that stops flow when you do this must be re-opened (or opened from the start) or the filter area backs up. This is done by ensuring the pot is all the way under the filter. Again..... this is addressed in the instructions.Read full review
This item does not live up to its billing! It never brewed a pot of coffee without an issue. First the drain plug on the bottom of the carafe did not operate and the coffee flooded everything, and when I tried to clear it, the filter basket fell off the pot soaking myself, and my wife, and the packaging with steaming water. My second try was also a failure, never made a pot of coffee. With the packaging destroyed I cannot even return this piece of garbage

We decided to try this out on our gas stove. You have to make sure you put the pot in last as it will hit the switch and then there will be water everywhere when it drips. After we figured this out it worked beautifully. It will be great for dry camping.
