I used to use the Cleveland 588 56* wedge but it had lost it's grab for me. So i purchased this club. I do like it but it has a totally different feel then the 588. I believe it truly creates more back spin (even on short shots). It is alittle longer than my last wedge and it feels slightly heavier. I think if i get it regripped and the shaft shortened about an inch it is really going to add to my game. I would recommend this club to anyone.
Something slick about these wedges - I've got 8* bounce on the 54, and 12* on the 58 and with a slight tweak in stance and/or address both work in varying situations well. Although the 'zip grooves' are apparently outlawed on tour as of several years back (not sure why or what sig. advantage they actually provide) - back spin seems to be about what you would expect given a particular stroke, responds well and I'm not going on tour anytime soon - but with these wedges, I'd have an inclining of a chance - all other aspects of my game being equal . . . Bottom line, great wedges – enjoy the game!

I praticed with this clib today and it felt solid. The weight of the club was a balanced feel. The club also felt like you could swing instead of trying to hit it. I am very impressed. Can't wait to see what it does on the course and greens. This is the first Cleveland Club I have ever owned. I have always heard about how good of a wedge that they make. One reason for my purchase. Hopefully I can cut a couple of strokes off of my score with this club.
I use Cleveland CG12's for my Gap (50*), Sand (54*), and Lob (60*), and I love the feel, swing, and overall shot I make with these clubs. I had a friend at first tell me to be careful, those are difficult clubs to swing. But from the get go, they swung great. I am guessing given my particular swing in golf, that these clubs fit me perfectly. So much so that I bought a 46* to replace my PW from my set (had 45* on PW). I love the control and feel when swinging them. If only Cleveland could make CG12's from #7 - #9 irons... that would be perfect. I am not a spin master by any means, and I have heard Vokey's have the most spin, but these have the right spin for my game. Not too much as to roll back off green and enough to bite and come back just a tad. That is what I am looking for.
I purchased the Cleveland CG12 a few weeks ago to replace my 588 wedge that I lost. During my research process this wedge came closest to the 588. This wedge is good to get out of bunkers and tall grass. I wouldn't recommend it to get on the green from the short grass because it minimizes your chances to reach birdie or par. The new grove system used by Cleveland Golf is an improvement but overall, I would prefer the 588 model because it had a better feel.
