I know a lot of people love the Surf Green color on Strats but I wasn't really into it. After getting it in my hands I thought it looked quite good, but the real surprise was the feel and sound of it. Now I recently also acquired a Custom Shop Jeff Beck in a white that looks like a really faded Sonic Blue and it's fantastic in every respect, but the standard Artist Sig. JB feels so good, it's just hard to explain it. It must be one of those instances when you find a guitar that speaks personally to you and this one does. the action is awesome and the pickups sound very good for being of the Vintage Noiseless variety and it always stays in tune even with deep dives. I just couldn't be more pleased. Oh, and I love Surf Green!

The Jeff Beck Strat is an overall great guitar. The neck on the 2019 is somewhere between the American Standard and the American Pro. The pickups are really hot, not quite like a humbucker but they still have some single coil qualities to them. They also have almost no hum in every position. I wish the neck had a darker tint but overall the guitar is AWESOME.

Fender Stratocasters are known for quality and playability and this one is no exception. The guitar had to be adjusted to my personal preference which I did myself as I am an experienced player. Everything was perfect with the order and the guitar. It came in a beautiful case that has a vintage styled tweed look to it. I only had one issue with the quality of the craftsmanship and that was that the strap with straplocks did not work on one side. It took some experimenting to figure out that the strap button on the guitar itself was defective in that the strap button was too thick on the head of it for the strap lock to slip over it. I remedied that by purchasing new locking style strap buttons from Fender. The strap locks themselves worked fine that came with the guitar. The guitar itself is wonderful to play, such a beautiful tonality and ease of play. The only thing I would dare complain about would be the that the locking tuners are a satin finish polished aluminum look which looks odd for this guitar. I think they should be chrome. The best feature on this guitar is the dual knife edge tremolo and LSR roller nut. This guitar stays in tune 100% accurately no matter how slack you make the strings with the tremolo. I was very impressed with that. I did have one string that kept going out of tune, it would go UP in pitch after using the tremolo and that was because the roller in the nut was not rolling. It had a stuck bearing. I cleaned it with a new toothbrush and then it worked fine. Fender recommends not lubricating the rollers. Everything was perfect however after a little attention to it. I can imagine an inexperienced player would have been frustrated and not been able to figure out what was wrong. Overall a very pleasurable purchase.Read full review
