I am not interested in English style riding of horses. I prefer western so doing all of the contests just weren't for me. However, grooming and caring for the horses was kind of cool since I can't own a real horse! If you are an adult with any kind of busy schedule and responsibilities I don't recommend that you get this game. It is better for adolescent and young teens who love horses. It would be a great summer game for kids. Especially for those rainy days and long car trips. For adults... if you are into these kind of games... I would recommend "DOGZ". Very cute and not so time consuming. Just keep them clean, watered and fed... or you could just get a real dog. :o)
Brings back memories of my childhood. I bought this to replace the game my sister lost. I had to relearn how to play it, of course, but I feel like I'm 8 years old again.

I got this game for my daughter for her 8th birthday alone with a DS. She loves the game and plays it alot. The colors on the game are nice and bright and easy to play. You can use the stylist to rub the screen and brush your horez and you can even see the hair flying around. It is a perfect game for a little girl from 8-14 in my opinion. I got it brand new for a awsome price and it was worth every penny Highly recommend 5*****
It is hard to find ds games for young 8 year old girls. She loves horses. This game was nonviolent and she plays it alot since it is her interest. Nice to have a unisex game that is noncombative and not aimed towards boys only.It is not paced fast and takes some patience. Yet not another shopping or overly girly game! She enjoys it a lot!
I love the way my daughter really gets in the game and has a ton of fun. She is 11 years old and wants horses but right now it just can't happen. With this game she has to do everything that she would do if she had one. It teaches her that you have to earn things and they are not always easy but with work you get there. She loves it and we give it a BIG 10.
