In my opinion Lyman is the top of the line in reloading products. As I needed a new vibratory case cleaner/polisher, there wasn't a thought of a different brand to purchase. First it was a quality, then monetarily, based decision. However again, LYMAN does, and always will, manufacture the best products available!

Got this Lyman tumbler to replace one used 30 years ago. Not changed since then, and no need for change. Very well designed and easy to use. I like the lid being a media separator, but some might complain it leaks dust. Never had much problem with that unless using fine polishing powder like rouge. There are better polishing materials now. The removable bowl is great! Remove the lid, remove the bowl, hold the lid on the bowl, and turn upside down to shake the media out. You can't do this with many other machines without removable bowls. The shape of the bowl covers the threaded rod, and makes for a nice tumbling action. Hint: Crushed walnut shell media can be found at some pet stores for a better price than other sources.

I've used Lyman tumblers for many years, specifically the 1200 model. One for initial polish before sizing brass with corn cob media and another for after processing to remove tool marks and residual sizing lubricant using walnut media. Although I use mine a lot, I think they could have a bit longer life than I've experienced before. Don't get me wrong, I get many years use, I'd just like them to last forever! Ha! Quality product consistently and well worth the cost.

Works really well cleans Brass much faster than my old one. I like the idea of using the lid for a sifter when taking the brass out. It is a little dusty but no big deal. Noise level is about average for these things. Good product, you get your money's worth.

I was still using my Dads Lyman tumble (probley 30 years old) but it was knocked off the table and it cracked the hopper. So I bought this one a couple months ago and have probley ran 1000 or so peaces of brass through it and it runs just like the old one. I use mostly redding and rcbs but I think this is the best tumbler for your money!
