Hello, I love my new Shimano SW 10000 spinning reel and I can't tell any differences if it was made in Malaysia or wherever else, legend says it is built. It is smooth and feels agile enough to tackle any fish I choose to go after. From my very early days of a Mitchell Garcia 488 to this reel isn't even a comparison. I still loved that old reel but I most certainly don't feel bad that I was "forced" to switch because of progress. This reel had the cheapest price I could find on *Bay so yes, I feel like I got a real deal on it. With all the other prices floating a $100 above what this reel was advertised as, it was a great deal! Regards, K
