Item is sturdy for family use. We didn't want to use water or sand in the base, so we added stove pellets. So far so good. The item is tricky to put together, so it takes a little patience. The directions are online at the everlast website. (Our unit didn't have any in the box. I suspect that's the norm.)

So even with a light workout on this "bag" even filled completely i move it around the floor like its only 1/2 filled. And when i say moved i mean it moves five feet across the floor regardless if it is a light workout or not. Now that being said, it is made well, it arrived very quickly it is easy to put together.

This punching bag setup is legit, especially for limited spaces like apartments. Easy setup, I thought there was no manual and set it up is 4 minutes, then I found the manual. I put 250 lbs. of play sand in it, tightened up the screws, and I tell you this Everlast heavy bag has to be the best money I've spent this year. Simple but seems to be highly durable.

Good bag, I mean it’s not 10of10 perfect, but definitely worth the money. Good for speed and skills practice, but not so good for power shots.
