I've had two corded wahl peanut clippers used to ...trim facial hair. One died and i replaced it with the same model. Both were great and effortlessly did what they are supposed to do. But went on a long trip overseas and need to take a converter to use the wahl peanut. Decided it was time to find a dual voltage clipper and found this wahl, which is not only dual voltage but also cordless and rechargeable, unlike my previous clippers. This one is equally as good as the peanut and is much more elegantly designed in stainless steel. Recharges quickly and holds a charge. Recommended.

This product has a very bad deficiency, if it work...s properly it's amazing, long lasting, no complaints. However the on and off button has some kind of faulty mechanism with the charger part, and I've had 2 of these behave in exactly the same way, they for no apparently reason turn on by themselves and then refuse to turn off. The only way to get them to turn off is either for the battery to run out or to plug the connector into them. If it wasn't for this 1 very bad defect this product would be perfect, but sad to say because of it I don't recommend this product.

I've used Philips Norelco trimmers for a number of years, but ...decided to try something new and bought the Wahl 9818. Glad I did. This is a real machine - feels and looks substantial, and trims very well. Having to change guide combs for different lengths isn't a big deal, and I don't miss the Turbo feature on the Norelco. I'm a happy buyer.

Got this as a replacement. My other... one stopped charging. User issue. This thing cuts great and has a good charge. I cut my own hair 2-3 times a month and it gives a decent fade. Combs are good, other attachments are not useful. If you want a nose hair trimmer buy a dedicated one. This thing cuts, and edges nicely. My only upgrade would be to make it waterproof.

Having owned many trimmers I was ...skeptical but very pleased with the Wahl 9818. The unit comes with a decent variety of attachments and various guard lengths and the battery life seems good thus far (1month on full charge even used for covid hair trimming). Having read the pamphlets while it received its 1st full charge helped as I then grouped the guard sizes I will most frequently use, in the past some of my favorite trimmers just had twist-grip adjustments and that was nice verses changing guards. However it’s inevitable at some point yur favorite beard trimmer gets knocked off the counter and the the length adjustment breaks so I guess having interchangeable parts that are readily available is a future plus. Quality is excellent and so far the battery life is also but I do wish that it could be used in a no charge state with cord (directions say do not use while plugged into transformer) it does further state that even a quick charge will result in minutes of use. Thing is we rarely worry about the charge state of our beard trimmer unless going on vacation. Lol Only time will tell what the life expectancy of the battery is because like many favorites of past the battery would die and the unit wouldn’t function on the cord. One of the reasons I love my Braun shaver so much is that it’s a powerhouse on battery but if the battery wains I can plug it in and have full speed and no hairs ripped out due to slow cutting head...
