Bought if to sharpen artist grade coloured pencils. The Faber Castells polychromous fits, but not the Derwent. The lead is sharpened to a fine point and there does not seem to be a lot of wood shavings in the container. So, a good product. But I am not certain that it stops automatically when it reaches the fine point. It has broken a couple of leads so far. I am now very cautious while sharpening.

It is easy to use; easy to empty; easy to maintain. The price is excellent. Five child-artists have been using it for a year now and have had no need to exchange a sharpener. We love it.

My sharpener is ok but when it's sharpening it doesn't stay still, it spins around on the table. You can push down to keep it still but then your pencil gets worn away quite quickly.
