I have not owned an apple product to date. Have used top or the range Nokia N97 and Blackberry Torch and have been quite happy with them. This phone is very easy to use, love the responsive touch screen, the glass seems very resistant to scratch. Apps are great and all is very user friendly. Call sound quality is good as is signal reception. Battery lasts me the full day with lots of use regardless of others bad experiences I have about 40% power left right now at 9pm after a good days using of facebook, email, browsing and Siri. When she works. That would be at the mo my only complaint is that Siri the assistant seems to have taken unauthorized leave. The assistant is very eratic and many times cannot connect to the network. I understand this is a Beta version and as such not yet complete, and I can live with that...for now. But you do become reliant and when you need it you need it. So if it works 80% it would be acceptable, but I am getting about 35% successful response from Siri. When she works it is it great. She seems to understand most of what I say even though I have a sort of South African accent and not American or Uk. She is witty, sarcastic and helpful. I like that she is not just a robot and seems to think for herself and not just give the same old robotic answers. She is quite addictive and fun. Music and sound quality is fantastic as is the photo and video quality. Back to Siri, it would be great if she would vocally do the reminding of appointments and reminders. Perhaps this may come in the future. The phone hooks up easily to wifi where ever you go and will prefer wifi to data over isp so you do not get wacked with big data usage. Overall good phone. I ordered a Life Proof cover which will protect it a bit better and also ensure waterproofing. I fully recommend this as a business tool and hope that Apple will improve and enhance their server capacity so that we can make full use of the Siri side of things.
I have used an Apple iPhone 4s, since they came out on day one... They are a reliable and solid phone BUT they are ridiculously over priced and Apple charges for absolutely ANYTHING.
People say that Microsoft are bad when it comes to money, and yet when dealing with them I was given free copies of Windows 7 after purchasing what appeared to be real (but was actually counterfeit) software.
Overall, the phone is well-built and will last, provided you treat it correct... If you 'have' to own an iPhone, then get one, but if you are just looking for 'any old smartphone' then perhaps look into HTC and Samsung, which are just as good but cheaper...
The lack of Bluetooth to other devices is also a major drawback, and so is the 'locked' software and customization... Overall if these two features were enabled to allow a complete customized look (if desired) and Bluetooth to ALL devices, not just other iPhones, then the 'features' would be a lot better...
Finally, like all smartphones, the battery life is not that great... It WILL need charging every night if you plan on making any real use of the phone... But that seems to be the standard for smartphones now... If you want great battery life, go get a Nokia from Big W... smartphones are not for you..
After a year of use on my iPhone, the battery has not declined at all in time for charge and discharge... It still lasts just as long.. (But as far as I am aware they have limited charge-cycles).
Good phone, very fast. Do not upgrade to ios 7 it kills battery life fast, 2-4 hours use max. very versatile phone, very smooth game play with good graphics, does everything i want it to do and wasn't too overpriced. Overall great product definitely recommend.
Great Phone, appears to have better battery life than my old 3GS, only issue I have is the reception as at the moment it has dropped out a few time and gone to SOS no signal in areas I know it should still have signal, blogs suggest a software fix in future may fix so I hope this is the case, some other suggestions havebeen that it is the Telstra network issues and this should be fixed eventually, otherwise a fantastic phone and Siri is so great!!!
I LOVE this phone. The quality of the pictures is beyond words and it is easy to use. I wish I had bought one with a 32gb memory. Now I have to download often but the phone is beyond reproach. This is my first iphone. So it took me a while to get used to use and "learn" my way through it. My grandchildren are good at giving tips and "how to do" lessons.
Ahh... the iPhone. The best fun mobile phone available. Just do not expect to use it for work purposes and you will be pleased with it.
I love using it for games and social connecting. I also use a HTC Desire HD for when I do work or for navigation which the iPhone is terrible at without spending loads of money where the same app is free on Andriod.
It is basically a powered up iPod with phone capability. Expect that and you will be pleasantly surprised. Expect more and the andriod phones do better.
It's handy to you's in your parm good clear LCD over all good all round the 4s has a twin core proseser wich makes web browsing wicker apps open up very qick
This phones works as great, battery life sucks though after updating to ioS 7 and later. Takes really good pictures but may not be the best out there. Good phone at its time
Nice neat, clean used Apple iPhone. Identical to my partners phone can swap chargers when travelling. Come with new screen protectors and supposedly was fitted with a new battery. The battery went flat after 6hrs on standby!! Repaced the battery myself with a new one revealling the battery in it was the original 2012 date stamped.
All good now, easy to navigate through, although most of my use is as a telephone, not data browser.
Siri, processing speed, camera quality, louder than 4, screen clarity is superb, clean lines & more customizable & more choices
Can not get rid of newsstand, small screen compare to Samsung galaxy. Poor battery life. Not easy to take of the sim.
