TOC H or Talbot House began in 1915 during WWI in Poperinghe, Belgium. It was used as a rest recreation centre near the battle lines. Soldiers could go there to recouperate before going back to battle.

This is just a well loved and read reader with the story of John and Betty, scottie, baby, fluff, peter and Ann. First Book of the Victorian Readers. In the very centre of the book is some tape in the gutter.
This item is the softcover THE 20TH CENTURY IN PICTURES,,,,,a souvenir of our time as pusblished in 1999 by the Australian Women's Weekly. It is a softcover and does show some external wear tear but inside it is in good condition.
