Although there is no limit on the amount of PayPal balance, bank transfers and eCheque payments you can accept with Personal accounts, they are limited to receiving six credit card transactions per year. Personal accounts aren’t recommended for regular sellers.

Once a Personal account has reached the limit, the only way card payments will be accepted is if the account is upgraded, at no extra cost, to a Premier or Business account. Upgrade your account now.

Premier and Business accounts are perfectly suited to sellers who regularly accept debit and credit card payments. Premier and Business accounts could enable you to pay lower fees and provide access to a wide range of services and tools at no extra cost.

Beware of emails asking you to update your personal information within the email or by clicking on a link in the email which takes you to a website. eBay, PayPal, your bank and most other reputable organisations will never ask you for your account or credit card details, username or password in an email. If you are in any doubt, open a new browser and type the web address rather than clicking on a link to ensure you are on the genuine site. Never click on links in suspicious emails.

If you suspect fraud, forward the email to spoof@paypal.com.au.
