Deep cycle SLA car and truck batteries have a higher cycle life than general purpose SLA batteries and this allows them to have a longer lifespan. The interior design of these batteries is built to provide rapid power delivery for emergency back-up and critical power applications. Their power output per cell is higher, they are able to serve longer and are low maintenance. They should not be used as a replacement for gel or deep cycle SLA batteries as are they are not designed to be used as primary sources of power. They are specially designed for use in telecommunication and UPS applications like data centres and medical equipment.
