A baby book for all those memorable moments
A baby book, baby album or memory journal, is a complete record of your baby's first year and makes a perfect keepsake, for yourself or expecting parents. Looking back through these baby keepsakes with your child when he or she is older, is a magical experience, and of course can jog your memory a bit when you're asked about birth weights and first words.
Baby Books by gender
If you know whether you're buying for a boy, or a girl, you can jump straight to a lovely selection of blue and pink gender-specific albums; if you're not sure then unisex might be the safest way to go.
Memory Books
Believe it or not, as your children get older you do forget things. Little things like their tiny toes, first words, favourite toy, exactly when they first rolled, crawled or took a step. A photo album or baby book is a way of telling your little one's story from baby to toddler, and keeping every detail of it fresh in your mind forever.
Usually in the region of 54 pages long, most memory books will start with birth details and then have sections dedicated to each recognised milestone in baby's development. Some have little extras too, such as ‘when mummy met daddy' and ‘the day you were born', allowing you to add extra information that tells your story as a family and will become treasured memories for your grown-up son or daughter.
If you're looking for something special for Nana, check out Nana's Brag Book; a handbag sized memory book that your baby's nana can keep with her, filled with all her favourite baby moments and photos.
Baby photo books, albums and scrapbooks
If you're not one for writing all the details down, then what better way to capture those precious moments you love than in a series of baby photos, scrapbooks or kept in a baby photo album. Although we all keep hundreds of digital images stored there's no substitute for being able to flick through a book filled with printed memories, sharing them with older children, family and friends.
