The Boyd Pottery legacy

The Boyd pottery you will see across eBay was produced by the hands of various members of the Boyd dynasty, almost all of whom were involved in the production of pottery at some point during their lives. Each of them brought different styles and techniques to the lineage of Boyd ceramics, one that was often influenced by the other interests they pursued within the field of the arts such as sculpture, painting and architecture.

Their considerable contribution to the field of Australian Pottery means their pieces are highly collectable and their names all crop up on the various Boyd jugs and cups and vases and objects in circulation.

Types of Boyd pottery

There are so many different types of Australian pottery produced by Guy, Merric, and Martin Boyd, ensuring that there's sure to be something to suit everyone's home.

Discover decorative plates that are ideal for displaying in your collector's cabinet or for use at special occasions. Go for a vintage kidney shaped Boyd bowl featuring a striking Aboriginal design, or a plate with a similar design. Find Boyd plates featuring nature and animals too. A plate featuring shrubs and plants in a pleasant green hue, or go for a plate depicting a bird in yellow. Display these plates on stands for the ultimate touch of charm for your home.

Find white Boyd vases with an intricate swirl pattern on the outside, perfect for keeping out in the kitchen. A blue branch handled jug is a true collector's item, ideal for completing your collection.

To kickstart your collection, go for a set of six Boyd cups, each in a different colour with contrasting saucers. These are ideal for use at special occasions, or for lining up in your display cabinet. A Boyd candleholder offers both function and style. The petal design around the candle hole adds a touch of style and would look great on any table.
