Lovely Art Deco influence in the gilding work on the lid. The box is part of the BLEU ROYALE range. I expect from the late 1930's / 1940's. I would classify the style as Art Deco and would have to say a very styling sleek box.

With an original Barsony style ribbon shade it is in excellent condition. The Barsony ribbon shade is a pale pink with gold and black braid trim. There are no faults to the shade except where it joins at the back, see photo.
