    DESCRIPTION: This dress ring would suit either a man or a woman and is crafted from solid 9k rose gold. It is flush inlaid with four rectangular pieces of solid Australian precious Opal and a natural white round Diamond in the centre. The finish is a little... how should I put this... amateurish? But it is in sound condition and the opals have a very good range of colour play. DETAILS: The setting is 20.7 mm across the shoulders and 5.5 mm wide. The band is 5.0 mm wide at the shoulders and tapering to 3.1 mm at the back. The 4 opals are approx. 4.7 mm x 4.2 mm and the diamond is 2.2 mm. Total weight is 3.60 grams. HALLMARKS: Stamped 9CT. The hallmark is pictured. RING SIZE: The ring is a size P 1/2 (Aust.) or 8 (USA). Not resizable. CONDITION: Good. Crude finish.

This eternity style ring is hand-made from solid 9k rose gold featuring 3 x inlaid crystal Australian Opals set flush into the band. These Opals are from Andamooka where most crystal Opal comes from and fire up almost exclusively in blue and green. This style of ring is available at most Opal field retail shops for about $1000 or so. DETAILS: The setting is 17.0 mm across the shoulders. The band is 5.4 mm wide at the front and tapering to 2.9 mm at the back. The centre opal is 3.4 mm x 6.5 mm and the 2 outer opals taper from 2.8 up to 3.4 mm x 6.5 mm long.     There is a set of English hallmarks placed inside band. The hallmarks indicate Chester provenance, dated 1880 ('r' date letter stamp). Makers mark "B.H.J" are likely that of Barnet Henry Joseph, a prominent Birmingham jeweler in the mid to late Victorian era.
