Industrial Chairs

Industrial chairs don't have to be just the basic mass-produced chairs. Retro, vintage, replica and unusual chairs can add interest and uniqueness to your business or living space. For example, distressed-recycled, military, historical, or artistic re-makes of farm and industrial equipment provide quirky, original looks.

Dining Room Chairs

Dining room industrial chairs are great for cafes, restaurants, hotels and catered events. The chairs can be four-legged seats or bar stools. They come in a variety of shapes and materials, such as metal, wood and blends of these. Your space, table heights, guests and functions all affect your choice of industrial chairs. Simple, wooden dining chairs can be shaker, ladderback crossback or Windsor styles. They have open backs of vertical or horizontal slats, or carved designs. Many are armchairs for the head of dining tables, or armless side chairs. For stylish looks, try solid backed, upholstered parsons chairs, or traditional or contemporary unique designs. Bar stools also come in any materials. When upholstered, the fabrics include leather, vinyl, damask and more. Apart from modern designs, you can find vintage, handcrafted and recycled stools. You must decide whether safety is an issue in your setting, such as with children, elderly people or very busy spaces. If so, choose high-backed instead of swivel stools. Backless stools reduce visual clutter but are not as comfortable for frequent use. High-backed stools take up more space but are more comfortable, and you can use them as dining chairs.

Living Room Chairs

Living room chairs vary from the more formal versions of dining chair designs, to soft lounging chairs. The purpose of your business determines which style is more appropriate. For example, are you fitting out a consulting room, office or lobby? If visitors must sit for long periods, upholstered sofa-type chairs might suit. For short visits or limited spaces, upright individual, dining-like chairs would be better. Both types come in wood, steel or bamboo, and they may be bare or upholstered in leather, vinyl or fabric. Mismatched chairs add a strong design character. Visitors will choose the chair in which they will feel most at ease. There is no need to find matched sets.

Office Chairs

Adjustable office chairs are a major type of Industrial chairs. They are padded, and their designs are all about spinal support and comfort for long sits. Many have wheels. Apart from those, chairs for guests or audiences are stackable upholstered chairs. They balance comfort with economy and easy packdown.
